We are proud to announce that the ICOMACON project (Project No. ZL-2025/00418) has been awarded funding under the HAZITEK Programme for Business R&D Support, a strategic initiative co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021–2027.
This support recognizes the innovative potential of ICOMACON and reinforces our commitment to advancing industrial research and experimental development in the Basque Country. The funding will enable us to accelerate technological progress, strengthen our competitive edge, and contribute to regional economic growth.
The HAZITEK programme is designed to foster high-impact R&D projects that drive innovation across sectors. With this backing, ICOMACON will continue to explore cutting-edge solutions and deliver meaningful advancements in its field.
We extend our gratitude to the institutions involved for their trust and support.

Smart Controller Designed to Empower Human Operators
At the heart of the ICOMACON project is the development of a smart controller designed to assist human operators in industrial environments. Rather than replacing people, this technology enhances their capabilities by:
- 👨🏭 Supporting technicians with intuitive interfaces and real-time guidance
- ⏱️ Minimizing unplanned downtime by enabling proactive maintenance strategies
- 🛡️ Preventing machine failures through continuous monitoring and early detection of anomalies
- 📊 Improving operational reliability through data-driven decision-making
This human-centered approach ensures that technology works with people—creating safer, smarter, and more efficient industrial operations.
We are grateful for the trust placed in us by the institutions involved and excited to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Further details about the ICOMACON project will be shared shortly. As part of our commitment to European values and the principles outlined in Agenda 2030, we are actively seeking local and European suppliers who share our vision of sustainable innovation and technological excellence.
This initiative is supported by the HAZITEK Programme for Business R&D, co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021–2027.

Our Facilities in F.A.C.T
In 2013, we inaugurated our renovated facilities in Aia (Gipuzkoa): the F.A.C.T. — Francisco Aristeguieta Technological Center, a building designed with energy efficiency criteria and equipped with the latest technological advancements in home automation and security.
The structure of the building already existed, previously used for agricultural purposes, and had been abandoned for over five years. We chose to repurpose the building without expanding its footprint — 3,000 m² is more than enough — for a new activity: the manufacturing of industrial controllers and a showroom for electronic technology.
The name F.A.C.T. pays tribute to Francisco Aristeguieta, one of the driving forces behind the creation of the National Technological University of Buenos Aires, Argentina; professor at the Luis A. Huergo Industrial Institute; designer of the Electronics course for CEAC distance learning academies; and literary author.
